Polyguard was
founded in 1952 to market steel pipeline anti-corrosion coatings. Since
that time, continuous research and development
have allowed the company to develop expertise and products marketed through
five diverse divisions.
Pipeline
Coatings
The company's original product line was coatings for buried steel pipelines.
Today, Polyguard anti-corrosion coatings are in use on pipelines of
virtually every major oil company. Our offerings now include coatings,
tapes, wraps and adhesives.
Architectural
Products
Polyguard added architectural waterproofing membranes in 1970 and launched
this division that now focuses on protecting commercial, governmental
and institutional structures from moisture, mold and other contaminants.
Highway Products
Waterproofing membranes to protect bridge decks from corrosion and pavements
from subterranean water were also added in the early 1970's and have
been specified and/or used by 35 state DOT's.
Mechanical Products
Added in 1984, this division has been heavily involved in protecting
insulated piping and ductwork in below-ambient applications from moisture
and corrosion. Besides a solid line of damage-resistant insulation
waterproofing materials, the introduction of RG-2400® provides
a cost-efficient way to extend system life indefinitely.
Residential Products
Developed in 1999, this division focused primarily on moisture prevention
for residential homes.
