Aside from its Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) abilities, RG-2400 is a great corrosion inhibitor for bridge rockers and cabling where corrosion due to salt runoff and rain is a problem.

Though exposed, and subject to movement, the coating of gel under this bridge rocker performs the corrosion prevention necessary to keep that area corrosion free.

With proper protection, even cabling systems can be protected with RG-2400. Sample protection would be a shrink wrap type sleeve or UV resistant polyethylene. The jacketing is to protect the gel from weather erosion.

Dirt and debris builds up on the outer surface, however, every time the rocker shifts, more gel is moved into the necessary corrosion areas. After five years on a DOT bridge in Missouri, the gel is still performing its duty.
