RG-2400 spent 15 years as a proprietary product to the Big Three Auto and U.S. Navy. The U.S. Navy specifies the product on anchor links, water tight door dogs, and elevator cables for the aircraft lifts.

The elevators which lift aircraft from below deck are cable driven; these cables are constantly subjected to salt water spray. An inspection criterion was every six months, replacement necessary every two years at millions of dollars per set.

After application of RG-2400 gel (special injection process) into the wire cables, the inspection interval is now every 5 years and replacements are made due to wear and not corrosion any longer!
